Classic Car and Camaro @ Gus Paulos Chevrolet - Aug. 28th

Gus Paulos is having a "Classic Car and Camaro" display at the dealership next Saturday, Aug. 21, 11:00am til 2:00pm.

They'll be serving free hot dogs and hamburgers and having drawings for free camaro accessories. Everyone is invited, but if you have a Camaro, you're encouraged to bring it and show it off alongside the Camaro display.

They had this same Camaro display in their showroom for several months this past Spring and it got rave reviews in the newspaper and on TV. If you're a Camaro or classic car fan, you need to see these rare cars.

ChamberWest member Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center is hosting their annual Fire, Water and Ice Festival on August 7th beginning at Noon. This event begins with a parade at 9:00 beginning at Kearns High School and then east on 5400 South to Big Lots! at 4000 West.

The firework show should begin about 9:30 p.m. You can see fireworks from Oquirrh Park south of the Oval, a variety of local church's, or simply attend FWI and see it near the pools and all the food vendors and activities.

Bands include: The Salamanders, Endless Summer and 2-1/2 White Guys and a silent auction to benefit Make-A-Wish. Typically, the auction funds a complete Make-A-Wish for a community child.

Gines Service celebrates 50 years!

Gines Service is celebrating 50 years in business by thanking customers with free hot dogs and hamburgers at noon Friday, Aug. 6, and at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, for the Kearns Hometown Days Parade.

Gines started in 1960 under Clyde Gines at Clyde's Chevron in Kearns. He was joined by his son Mark in 1976.
